Le chanteur, compositeur et guitariste néerlandais Danny Vera est connu pour son style élégant et ses manières de gentleman. Il a formé son premier groupe, Till Dawn, en 1999 et a remporté le Zeeuwse Belofe (Grand Prix des Pays-Bas) avec lui en 2000. Il était étudiant à la Rockacademie de Tillburg lorsqu'il a signé avec Universal Music, publiant son premier single "My Confession" et son premier album "For the Light in Your Eyes" en 2003. Bien que "My Confession" ait atteint la première place du Turkish Singles Chart, la chanson et l'album n'ont pas été considérés comme suffisamment réussis par Universal Music et Vera s'est séparé d'eux.
Il a continué à travailler sur sa musique et a sorti l'album live "Live at Het Arsenaal" en 2005, suivi de son deuxième album studio "Hold On a While" la même année. Il a sorti son troisième album "Ordinary Man" en 2007. Trois singles de cet album, "1000 Miles", "El Veracone" et "Hold On a While", ont été repris dans le film néerlandais "Kapitein Rob en Het Geheim Van Professor Lupardi".
En 2009, Vera s'installe dans le Tennessee pour enregistrer son prochain album, "Pink Flamingo". À la suite de cet album, Vera a signé avec Excelsior Records et a sorti "The Best of Danny Vera" et "Distant Rumble" en 2013. Il a sorti les EP "The New Black & White" en 2014 et "The New Black & White Part II" en 2015. Son sixième album studio "The Outsider", sorti en 2016, a été son disque le plus vendu à ce jour, atteignant la cinquième place du Dutch Albums Chart.
