Fils de la star de cinéma Will Smith, Jaden Smith s'est fait connaître par ses apparitions dans le film de son père "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2008), les remakes de "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (2008) et "The Karate Kid" (2010) et l'aventure de science-fiction "After Earth" (2013).
