Russell Vitale, who goes by Russ, is an American hip-hop performer born in New Jersey who wrote rap numbers as a child and got into the music business after he moved to hip-hop centre Atlanta, Georgia. He started off distributing many tracks via the Internet and is a member of the rap group Diemon Crew. He signed a recording contract in 2017 and his debut solo release 'There's Really a Wolf' went to number four on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts and number seven on the Billboard 200.

'Zoo' (2018) peaked at number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap charts and number four on the Billboard 200. The 2017 single 'Losin' Control' went to number seven on the Hot R&B Songs Chart, number 21 on the Hot Rap Songs Chart and number 28 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. 'Some Time' reached number 12 on the R&B Chart, 'Wife You Up' number 16 and 'Cherry Hill' number 19. 'What They Want' reached number 33 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and his 2019 release 'Gun Lean' went to number nine on the UK Singles Chart.
