Biographie

Sous entité du groupe NCT, NCT 127 connaît le succès dès ses débuts en 2016 avec le EP NCT #127. Composé à l'origine de sept chanteurs et danseurs, NCT 127 est un boys band coréen fidèle à la tradition de la K-pop. Deux autres EP toujours plébiscités par le public suivent en 2017 (Limitless et Cherry Bomb). Sorti en 2018, le EP Chain est le premier de NCT 127 destiné au marché japonais où le groupe déchaîne également les foules. Un engouement qui s'amplifie encore avec l'album Regular-Irregular sorti en octobre 2018 dont le succès est mondial. Entre-temps, NCT 127 est passé à neuf, puis dix membres en 2018. L'armada sort en avril 2019 l'album Awaken prioritairement au Japon où NCT 127 remplit les stades à chaque tournée. Le sixième EP de NCT 127 baptisé We Are Superhuman est également marqué du sceau du succès mondial en mai 2019.

NCT 127 are a K-pop band from Seoul, South Korea, formed as a subset of the band NCT by entertainment conglomerate SM Entertainment in 2016. The line-up varies but features mostly performers from South Korea with vocalists Moon Tae Il (Taeil), Lee Tae Yong (Taeyong), Lee Dong Hyuck (Haechan), Kim Dong Young (Doyoung), Jung Yoon Oh (Jaehyun), Kim Jung-woo (Jungwoo) and Dong Si Cheng (Winwin) from China and rappers Lee Min Hyung (Mark) from Canada, Seo Young Ho (Johnny) from America and Nakamoto Yuta (Yuta) from Japan.

Their debut EP 'NCT #127' (2016) went to number two on Billboard's World Albums chart and other EPs followed: 'Limitless' (2017) topped the chart, 'NCT #127 Cherry Bomb' (2017) peaked at number two and 'Chain' (2018) hit number eight. Their debut album, 'Regular-Irregular', also went to number two on the chart and 'NCT #127 Regulate: The 1st Album, Repackage' peaked at number nine. Their 2019 schedule was to include a North American tour with appearances at venues in cities including Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver.
